As a former participant on, and purchaser of executive programmes, Terry is well placed to understand the client’s needs when programmes are being conceived and designed. He brings this experience to bear in consulting with clients and liaising with faculty members and the Executive Development team to ensure that every programme delivers the maximum benefit and impact. His interests lie in bridging the gap between strategy and people, helping organisations find ways to engage their workforce to achieve strategic goals.
While his background is as a practitioner, he underpins his practical experience with extensive qualifications and knowledge in the areas of business and strategy, and organisational and social psychology. As such, he is able to bring both an academically rigorous, and a practical, “real world” perspective to his design, teaching and consulting work.
Martin has held senior HR positions in blue-chip organisations covering all aspects of the HR agenda. Formerly Global Head of Learning and Development at 3i Plc, he brings an understanding of what clients appreciate and require from executive development programmes.
Martin specialises in the pragmatics of helping people and businesses to perform better. He is intent on providing learners with tailored development solutions, blending different learning activity to create a rich experience that converts to successful application back in the work-place.
Overall, he brings a passion for creating learning and development opportunities that can make a real difference.
