Opportunities to work with our students

• The Undergraduate placement scheme integrates a one year work placement into the programme. Students receive 2 years of academic input followed by the placement year, allowing them to enhance their knowledge with practical skills and gain invaluable industry experience.  For the organisation, our students are well prepared and can hit the ground running, providing a trial run for permanent recruitment.
  
  
• Consultancy Projects – The MBA and European Masters in Management provide an opportunity for students to carry out a piece of consultancy work based in a sponsoring organisation.  The students are already equipped with professional experience together with the knowledge acquired during their programme.  The project gives the organisation a chance to gain the input of the student and an academic to provide a solution to a strategic business problem.
  
  
• Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) exist between an academic, a recent graduate and an organisation.  The graduate undertakes a piece of work that is of strategic value to the organisation, which can last between one and three years.  KTPs are partly funded by Government grants, meaning that the organisation receives a graduate input and academic expertise for a subsidised rate.
  
  
• In addition to the formal relationships that can be built, organisations can get involved with the Business School and interact with our students on a more informal basis.  Contributing to the design and development of programmes, acting as a guest speaker or giving an industry insight are just some examples of how you can raise your profile on campus.
