Talk by Iwan Thomas Roberts from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE)
‘Low carbon technologies for energy intensive industries - how scientists and engineers might better engage with government and policymakers’.
‘Iwan Roberts is a chemical engineer and was the inaugural recipient of the Ashok Kumar Fellowship. Iwan has just completed a three-month project at the UK Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology where he investigated low carbon technologies for energy intensive industries’.
Join Iwan for this presentation where he presents the findings of his project and highlights how scientists and engineers might better engage with government and policymakers.
Ashok Kumar was the only chemical engineer serving in government at the time of his sudden death in 2010. The fellowship post has been jointly funded by the IChemE (the Institution of Chemical Engineers) and NEPIC (the North-East of England Process Industry Cluster).
