The European Bioenergy Research Institute (EBRI) based at Aston University is currently looking for a range of West Midlands based businesses to join a local bioenergy supply chain that it is forming. Membership is free and your company will be given the exclusive opportunity to become a supplier to bioenergy projects around the region.
Bioenergy is a high growth market and this is your chance to become part of it.
EBRI has received a grant from the European Regional Development Fund to promote bioenergy and ensure that the work generated by these bioenergy projects stays within the West Midlands; specifically with local SMEs. If you are accepted to be part of the supply chain it would mean a substantial amount of new business for your company as well as access to a range of European grants to support your work.
EBRI is in talks with multi-national electricity suppliers, food manufacturers and agricultural industries who are interested in building their own bioenergy reactors in the region and beyond. Additionally, Birmingham has a commitment to reduce its CO2 emissions by 60% by 2026 and will be building a ring of bioenergy plants around the city at a cost of £24m each.
This is your invitation to attend a free EBRI regional business briefing taking place at Aston University this month. You will hear about:
EBRI’s innovative bioenergy applications and how they fit in with the West Midlands’ commitment to reducing CO2 emissions
The rapid growth of the bioenergy market throughout the UK
The benefit from being part of the bioenergy supply chain in the West Midlands and beyond
The European funding opportunities available to you.
The Executive Briefing is being held on Monday 30th April from 10am until 4pm. Lunch is included.
You can reserve your place by contacting Wendy Griffiths on 0121 204 3584 or by e-mailing her at email@example.com. If you are unable to attend but would like to be kept informed of similar events in the future, please also get in touch with Wendy to be added to the mailing list.
